Jenny Bates
Jenny was born and raised in the English countryside, privileged to enjoy hours of unsupervised play in woods and gardens. As a young child, she was aware of subtle communications between herself and the trees and plants all around.
She is now a US citizen, living and working in the Mid-Hudson Valley since 2000. She runs a private practice as a psychotherapist and participates deeply in her local community.
Jenny gardens, plays the classical piano, cooks and sews, and celebrates life with her friends and family.
Jenny met Miki Aso and Karin Ursula Edmonson through their shared teacher, Marguerite Uhlmann-Bower, and feels a deep connection to this work of developing cognitive agility with trees and other plants.
She co-facilitates monthly Climate Grief Conversations at Good Work Institute in Kingston.
