As someone who has studied herbalism and field ecology, I found this workshop refreshing. The ecologist asks "what is your purpose?" and the herbalist asks "what can you do for me?" Can you imagine if this is how we approached another human at a party?
And yet, this is primarily how we tend to relate to the plant world. The workshop changes the lens from which we relate to the natural world and consequently, opens up the space for a deeper level of communication and connection.
